Digital Skills for Educators@BFH

This self-reflection tool is based on the EU’s DigCompEdu (JRC 2017) and OpenEdu Framework (JRC 2016, 2019). It will help you reflect on and develop your digital skills, so that you are better equipped to offer modern and innovative teaching. The result reveals your own skills and suggests some resources to support your development. The more honestly you answer the questions, the more useful the result will be for you. This tool is intended for self-reflection – it is not an assessment. It is therefore neither necessary nor meaningful to achieve the highest possible score. Simply choose the answer that best describes you. In addition to self-reflection, you can also discuss the results with your supervisor in order to gain a better understanding of them and plan your personal development pathway accordingly.

In addition to self-reflection purposes, the skills wheel can also be used by individuals in leadership roles (such as heads of programmes, divisions or schools) to identify training needs. For this purpose, you can request your own group by messaging virtuelle.akademie@bfh.ch. The assessment will be carried out as an anonymised group result.

If you would like to help your students or continuing education participants develop their skills, you can use our skills wheel specifically for them. Specific groups can be requested for this too, e.g. for your teaching unit.
